About this event

Help restore local green spaces in Palo Alto! Grassroots Ecology invites high school students to participate in our Youth Stewards program at San Francisquito Creek (Palo Alto – downtown) and Bol Park. We will meet afterschool on Fridays 4-6p, starting February 2 thru April 19, 2023. Due to lack of daylight, 2/2-3/8 meetings will end at 5:30p.

Youth Stewards will have the opportunity to meet new friends, learn about nature from expert staff, enhance their observation skills, and help create and sustain pockets of biodiversity for insects, birds and other wildlife to thrive in the urban landscape. This is a 12-week volunteer and educational experience for local high school students, with no mandatory number of sessions required for participation.

All participants must register themselves on this page for each session they will attend. Registrations will open one week before each meeting.
